RIGHT TO HUNT AND FISH IS ALREADY A RIGHT

When Hoosiers go to the polls on November 8, they will get to vote on an amendment to our state constitution. The “Right to Hunt and Fish” measure is worded in a way to trick Hoosiers into supporting it.  Many people will see it and think that the right to hunt and fish is being challenged, but that isn’t the case.  The amendment (read the full measure HERE )  is extremely dangerous in several ways.
When you think of the constitution, most people think of things like the right to free speech, the right to vote, the right to a speedy trial or protection from illegal search and seizure. This amendment would place the right to hunt and fish (things that are already legal) in the same category as your other inalienable rights.
The amendment states that hunting and fishing will be the “preferred method of wildlife management” in Indiana. This would seem to place hunting legally ahead of non-lethal forms of wildlife management (relocation, fencing, contraception, etc) and may interfere in future efforts to find new ways to manage our wildlife.
The amendment may also limit the ability of local municipalities to pass their own laws to protect wildlife in their area as they see fit.
The National Rifle Association has been pushing these amendments in many states. Sport hunting and fishing in Indiana is nearly a $1 billion dollar per year industry.  Whereas most people agree with the industry being regulated, the NRA and other organizations oppose ANY restriction or regulation placed on hunting at all.  That is the real reason behind this bill.  Your legislators have let you down by shoving this amendment down your throat at the behest of the NRA lobbyists.  What is worse is that the measure, as worded on the ballot, is extremely deceptive and doesn’t tell the whole story.  Don’t let them take control of our constitution for their own benefit.  Please vote NO on public question #1 in November.

Don’t play stupid / don’t play dumb / vagina’s where you’re really from!*” These glorious words comprise the powerful (and dangerously catchy) chorus to Pussy Riot’s new song “Straight Outta Vagina.”
The danceable number, which features Desi Mo and Leikeli47, is the latest from the Russian punk group, whose members spent nearly two years in a Russian prison after criticizing Vladimir Putin in their 2012 performance “Punk Prayer.”
In their newest song, Pussy Riot lodges their message at Putin’s non-best friend Donald Trump, whose history of verbally and physically abusing women is truly sickening.
X

It’s ironic, Pussy Riot reminds us, that the man who so cavalierly bragged about grabbing women “by the pussy” owes his very existence to it. Although it’s hard to listen to the song without thinking of all that’s at stake in this maddening current political climate, the powerful lyrics are about so much more.
This song could be considered an answer to Trump,” Pussy Riot’s Nadya Tolokonnikova told The Guardian. “But I believe the idea of powerful female sexuality is much bigger than any populist megalomaniac man … Vagina is bigger than Trump.”
Check out the full video below, and keep reading to memorize the lyrics. Nasty women of the world, we hope you’re singing them all the way to the ballot box.
*We don’t know if Trump was born via Caesarean section ― and frankly, he probably doesn’t either ― but we assume Pussy Riot is using “vagina” pretty loosely here.

DEAR FROST ILLUSTRATED; EDITORS REPORTERS PUBLISHERS AND STAFF:

i WANT TO THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HONEST  FAIR ,EQUAL AND JOURNALISTIC ETHICAL TREATMENT i HAVE RECEIVED FROM YOU ALL AND YOUR PUBLICATION; AND THE INNER CITY COMMUNITY.

i HAVE WORKED IN SOUTHEAST FORT WAYNE AT SEVERAL JOBS- SOUTH ANTHONY HIRES; AN AUTP PARTS AND TIRE WAREHOUSE -ASSOCIATED TIRES; DRIVING AN ICE CREAM TRUCK(  met ms summerville)- AND- just passing through on various errands.  My usual patterns of travel or lifestyle ar not very often south of the RR tracks; But I have Mountain biked downtown and south central busines districts- life in the slow lane.
the things we have in common- poverty worry working paying our bills and families and concerns about crime al unite us more than divide us. I have always advocated for the SE Quadrant of fort wayne- asit has statistically and demographically and economically speaking- the greatest need of resources and the greatest need of investment of our public and private dollars; in so many ways. I want to help out and equalize the economics of the South east ftw; and level the playing field for all of us- like the quote: a rising tide lifts all boats; but first you have to have a boat that floats. Or as the quote on the MLK bridge-"We all came here on different ships but we're all
in the same boat now.

I have answered all the questions posed; and included aStatement for the record- to put to rest certain recurrent half truths rumors; likes and political character assassinations about activities in my way distant past- to put the "final nail in the coffin and bury it once and for all .

4. Why do you want to hold public office?

I am a near Life-Long resident of Allen County/Fort Wayne since 1967. I have had a lot of fun working & living here. I want to give back something to my beloved hometown by serving my fellow friends neighbors & citizens at an $8 /Hr/$16K /yr lowly public servant/ accounting clerical bureaucrat job.   I got fed up with never having any Democrat choices on the ballot- the Democrat Party Hacks just want to forfeit their ballots & fraudulently run "RINO's" and "DINO's"  or DISHONESTLY RIG THE SYSTEM by cross-over voting in the GOP Primaries & then back as "Dems" in the general election. This is Criminal at the least; &  Felonious at worst. The Party Hacks know the rules & have dozens of corrupt lawyers on staff - They know the laws; it's time they obeyed them like the rest of us & let the Voters decide instead of endless legal litigation & Judicial technicalities wasting the Courts & Taxpayers Time & Money

5. Why do you think you are the best person qualified to hold this position? Feel free to cite education, work, political or any life experience that might help explain your answer.
 http://dcroach.blogspot.com/2007/03/my-resume.html
I have lived in Allen County for 50 years SINCE 1967 . I was born in Santa Barbara California, USA.  I have attended FWCS Public Schools from 3-12;  Sunnymede(EACS), St Joe Center Harris- Lane- Snider- IPFW. I spent 3 Yrs in the US Navy in a War Zone(&Cold War) on an Aircraft Carrier in the Indian Ocean/Persian Gulf. I received a Navy Expeditionary Medal and a couple of other routine Deployment medals. I worked in Naval Intelligence as an AIRMAN E-3. I Graduated from Ivy Tech College with an Applied Computer Science Technology Degree; & Ohio State University with a Business & Economics Bachelors Degree. I studied Urban Economics; Govt Finance; Public Policy; & Money & Banking. Also International Studies; Political Science; & 20th Century World History. ( of which I lived in from 1960 until 2016- 56 years)
I am a Strong Healthy, Straight, White,Male of  European Ancestry, A Spiritual California-born Surfer "THE DUDE" at heart American Citizen.
I have not sold my soul to PACS; Party Hacks; Special Interests; Lobbyists or other corrupting influences. I will only work for ALL residents of Allen County;  particularly the SE part of Ft Wayne- where we need to invest to improve the property tax base;  our neighborhoods & our rural areas that all need to be considered. I'm have few ties to the corrupt downtown kleptocracy; plutocrats and carpetbaggers whose "development schemes" will only serve to enrich the Overlords & Bugger the rest of us. We will be left with a sack full of IOU's while the Overlords run off to tax havens to retire  rich on the backs of the rest of us downtrodden working stiffs. This will stop under my watch.
I fail to see how a adjunct PHD in chemistry teaching part time at a dysfunctional Local Branch campus who has not even lived in the USA for decades can have the insight nor perspective as the rest of us who have been working BOOTS ON THE GROUND for a Lifetime . we shall see how far "name confusion" carries the day; or simply being a GOP'er

6. In your opinion, how well is this office operating at this moment? Explain why you have come to this conclusion.
I suppose the County Council (CC) is working OK.  Since 1991-(25 years)- I have closely followed city & county government meetings on public access TV; & online- There are a few things that could be reformed, like all Govts; -
The open seat vacated by Mr Brown should be filled by an Independent minded Democrat who is a Fiscal Conservative & Social Liberal/Centrist- who will raise issues & ask questions from the taxpayers & citizens who are often ignored due to conservative "political correctness"
I will work hard to get along with the other CC members; & County officials many of who I am acquainted with from my 1990 GOP days.

My  main issues will be more cash for our Veterans Office & asking why we spend so many Millions of dollars on AADP; & Redwood Toxicology-Drugs & Alcohol Prohibition. I believe the needle exchange program is stupid and only enables Addicts.  This is all a distraction to shut down and silence the legalize marijuana movement  We need to make clear to Heroin Addicts, etc. they are not welcome here & will be persecuted to the fullest extent of the law ;
TWO- I will assure our county sheriff & justice system have the resources wisely provided they need for Public Safety, & Helping the various screwballs foul-ups misfits & "Square Pegs" fit in and conform to community standards expectations & Ethics
Lastly:     I  have an eccentric interest in Research of  Allen County History- the obscure, interesting, Tabloid   stories that citizens may be curious about.
7. What changes, if any, would you make in the operation of this office? Can these changes be made under the current legally constituted structure of the office?
I do not think any major changes need to be made in the operation of this office- the  Surrounding County towns and citizens have made it VERY CLEAR  they are content with "business as usual" And a Plurality of city Residents who Elect County Officials & pay both city & County Taxes - have made it clear they want a County Councilman who will  Listen and publicize and follow their Concerns; & wants & needs -they are paying for. I Intend to do this to the utmost of technology and 21st century public policy - Doing what works.
8. What issues would you like to address from this office and does the office provide legal and procedural means with which to address them? If so, what policies and procedures would you put in place to effectively address these issues: If not, why do you feel it is necessary to raise the issue in the context of the office for which you are running?
Again the main Policies and issues I will focus on are Maximum openness transparency & accountibility to the Public; Uploading All public records to the Internet- ( w/ redactions as needed for privacy)- Court records; sheriffs records criminal justice, and so on- anything the Public demands and is willing to pay for .
Maximum Funding for our County Veterans & War Heroes at the County Veterans Service Office. With so many War Veterans - from WW2, Korea, VietNam, Interim wars; & Iraq &Afghanistan-  the Need is great and we must spend what is necessary to meet the needs of our veterans and their families; whatever the price tag.

I am open minded  to study the need for a  minimal security PUBLICALLY OWNED &OPERATED  COUNTY JAIL /Prison Camp for the many average inmates & ex-cons willing to become law abiding tax paying citizens again & resources for an Mentally ill;& Drug Addicted special confinement  Lock-up to process them into the proper institutions. Jail Guards have enough work without baby sitting the Insane or the addicts or mentally deficient
Lastly_ I will raise the issue of Legalized Recreational Marijuana-Legal as Tomatoes- & kept from Minors-  to raise revenue & attract Millennials; artists musicians nightclub workers; non-conformists outside the box entrepreneurs & Others who want to live in a ficscal conservative social liberal  freedom and liberty sort of city. College educated singles & young adults. My approach is a near polar opposite of the current downtown riverfront schemes as visioned by GFW and "the usual bunch of idiots"

9. In one sentence, what is your idea of effective public service?
x
Asking the Citizens &Taxpayers input of how much government they want  & How much are you willing to pay for it, then delivering those services in the best affordable way realistically possible in a fiscally sustainable way. xxx

Editorial: Our choices for County Council

Monday, October 24, 2016 3:18 PM

The County Council is the lowest level of government on the ballot, but its work is some of the most important for taxpayers. Decisions made by the council affect all of us in our daily lives. The quality of their efforts directly affects the quality of our lives.
Six candidates are seeking three at-large seats on the council. Our recommendations are for two Republicans and one Democrat:
• Republican incumbent Roy Buskirk. He is the epitome of the tight-fisted penny-pincher. But he doesn’t do it in a way that impedes or obstructs progress. He truly does watch out for the taxpayers’ best interests, and he has a line-item knowledge of the county’s budget. We would urge him to always be open to at least hear new ideas.
• Republican newcomer Eric Tippman, IPFW chemistry professor. New ideas won’t be a problem for him. He intends to “pay attention” so he can “see things differently” and thinks government officials should “revisit everything.” His outlook is a nice complement to Buskirk’s.
• Democratic newcomer Morrison Agen, owner of Neat Neat Neat Records. It takes a special kind of faith to run a vinyl store in the digital day and age, and to do it by committing to downtown is outstanding. Council could use a little ideological diversity, and Agen would provide it.
Also on the ballot are Republican incumbent Bob Armstrong and Democrats Palermo Galindo and David Roach.

Six seeking three at-large seats on GOP-dominated County Council

It's so hard for a Democrat to win a county-wide race that nobody is even challenging Republican candidates for First District Commissioner, treasurer, coroner and surveyor on the Nov. 8 ballot. The race for Allen County Council's three at-large seats is another story, however, with a full complement of candidates from each party seeking election to the seven-member body that currently has only one Democratic member.
Morrison Agen says the county would benefit if that ratio changes in Democrats' favor.
"I knew it would be hard from the start. I may be the only candidate who decided to run because of a Facebook post," explained Agen, who responded to a friend's lament about unopposed Republicans and decided he'd "give them a run for their money. We should have ideological diversity on council, which could lead to real discussion of issues. Sharon (Tucker, council's lone Democrat) needs back-up. Too often council seems like a rubber stamp."
The self-confessed "political junkie" promised to bring a sense of curiosity to the council table about such issues as budgeting and economic development incentives. Too often, Agen said, council approves incentives without following up to make certain companies actually keep their promises about investment and jobs. "I'd fight for accountability. Do you really need to bring in 150 jobs paying $10 an hour?" he asked.
Agen said he would scour departments' budgets line-by-line to ensure the county operates as efficiently as possible. He also wants to exert more direct control over spending instead of allowing the three Commissioners to decide how thousands and even millions are spent. He favors alternative sentencing for non-violent offenders when appropriate to reduce jail costs and overcrowding. "I'd like to make (offenders) contributing, tax-paying members of the community," he said. "I'm an extremely good on-the-job learner."
Palermo Galindo first came to Fort Wayne 22 years ago when a friend working for General Motors transferred here from Chicago and invited him to check it out. "I decided to stay and make it my city. Fort Wayne is affordable and a good place to raise a family," he said. Galindo says he could make it even better on council by working to boost the economy and reaching out to groups that often have little interaction with county government.
"I've made good connections with several communities working for the mayor's office the past seven years. That has given me a pulse on the community," he said. "I look at the big picture and focus on efficiency and ways to avoid duplication of services."
Galindo said his effectiveness is seen in the fact that, during his tenure as president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, membership grew 233 percent. He would work with Republicans to build relationships that would boost economic development and entrepreneurism, and said his contacts in city government would serve the county well as it considers whether to expand an expiring agreement under which the city returns a portion of its county wheel tax revenue in exchange for the county's maintenance of bridges. Fort Wayne's Sister City programs could also provide economic development opportunities, he said.
"We should have more meetings with the city. We're not working in silos," he said. "I've always wanted to run for office. As a naturalized citizen, its a way of giving back."
Robert Armstrong is fond of saying he "represents the taxpayers, not the tax-spenders," and believes his priorities if re-elected prove it.
With the city's enactment of a wheel tax on top of the county's tax, city residents are now paying twice for road maintenance. He would like the city and county to work together to minimize the tax impact on residents and to coordinate maintenance efforts.
He remains skeptical of the city's proposal for a new downtown arena and doesn't want it built "on the back of taxpayers." Contrary to claims made by supporters, the arena would not promote economic development but "economic recreation."
What would help create jobs, he said, would be a program to attract and train more construction workers in Allen County. He's discussed the idea with Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and the Fort Wayne Community Schools and believes the idea is gaining support.
"We've got to get rid of the 'union vs. non-union' thing," he said. "Not everybody wants to work in a shirt and tie." He's open to the county's continued involvement in creating "shovel-ready" industrial sites and perhaps even so-called "shell" buildings, which could be occupied quickly by companies looking to expand or relocate.
"But I won't waste your money," he promised.
Roy Buskirk is seeking re-election despite ongoing treatment for cancer because "there are some projects I would like to finish." Perhaps at the top of the list is the ongoing effort to streamline the city-county business-permit process, in which Buskirk has taken a leadership role since its inception in 2011. Although there's still room for improvement, a recent survey showed that about 82 percent of people seeking permits called the quality of service they received "excellent."
He wants to work with state officials to improve funding for roads and said city and county officials will meet after the first of the year to discuss extension of the deal to share wheel-tax revenues that will expire at the end of 2017. If no agreement is reached, he said, the county may stop maintaining bridges within the city. He's also open to the possibility of taxing bicycles to help maintain trails.
Buskirk would like to see the county grow its $12 million rainy day fund so it is better-equipped to sustain an economic downturn. "It's been a life-saver," he said. Buskirk also supports the county's ongoing investment in "shovel-ready" sites and, possibly, the construction of "shell" buildings to attract jobs.
"I have experience and always look out for working people," Buskirk said, promising that if his illness ever makes him unable to perform his duties, "I will resign."
When City Council debated the elimination of the tax on new business equipment a couple of months ago, Eric Tippmann was in the audience to urge caution. He'd analyzed the proposal and concluded the benefits might not justify the cost. Those analytical skills would serve County Council well, he said.
"I have an ability to distill massive amounts of information," he said. "I do gardening, and not everything thrives in water. Money is not a blanket solution," said Tippmann, who is studying public policy at IPFW so he can hit the ground running if elected.
Government's proper role, he said, is to foster conditions that allow people to believe they "can succeed through their own determination and grit." He believes the county's support of shovel-ready industrial sites could help create the jobs needed to accomplish that goal.
Tippmann said he has visited thousand of homes while campaigning for the office and discovered few understand what County Council does. "People should pay attention," he said. "If someone can take your money, you should know what they do."
Also on the ballot is Democrat David Christopher Roach.

MY EXPLANATION IN LETTER BOX:
I REVIEWED THE COMMUNITY STANDARDS PAGE-
I POSTED A PHOTO THAT YOUR "FACEBOOK POLICE"  deemed "illegal" and blocked me.
Apparently there are haters of mine that dont like photos of women with "rubber novelty "doggie chew toys" or sex toys.
i posted this was for satirical educational or humorous purposes.
As there are some people in my home town who are trying to  draw links between my name -ROACH and the image of cockroaches
so-
I postet the photo in question- a penis shaped sex toy- and the words
COCK
COCK   ROACH
COCKROACH
GET IT?

IT CONTAINED NEITHER :"This includes solicitation of sexual material, any sexual content involving minors, threats to share intimate images and offers of sexual services. Where appropriate, we refer this content to law enforcement."

NOR:
"NUDITY"
"We restrict the display of nudity. Some descriptions of sexual acts may also be removed. These restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also apply to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes."

Sexual Violence and Exploitation: How we fight sexual violence and exploitation on Facebook.

We remove content that threatens or promotes sexual violence or exploitation. This includes the sexual exploitation of minors, and sexual assault. To protect victims and survivors, we also remove photographs or videos depicting incidents of sexual violence and images shared in revenge or without permissions from the people in the images.

Our definition of sexual exploitation includes solicitation of sexual material, any sexual content involving minors, threats to share intimate images, and offers of sexual services. Where appropriate, we refer this content to law enforcement. Offers of sexual services include prostitution, escort services, sexual massages, and filmed sexual activity.

Nudity

People sometimes share content containing nudity for reasons like awareness campaigns or artistic projects. We restrict the display of nudity because some audiences within our global community may be sensitive to this type of content - particularly because of their cultural background or age. In order to treat people fairly and respond to reports quickly, it is essential that we have policies in place that our global teams can apply uniformly and easily when reviewing content. As a result, our policies can sometimes be more blunt than we would like and restrict content shared for legitimate purposes. We are always working to get better at evaluating this content and enforcing our standards.

We remove photographs of people displaying genitals or focusing in on fully exposed buttocks. We also restrict some images of female breasts if they include the nipple, but we always allow photos of women actively engaged in breastfeeding or showing breasts with post-mastectomy scarring. We also allow photographs of paintings, sculptures, and other art that depicts nude figures. Restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also apply to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous, or satirical purposes. Explicit images of sexual intercourse are prohibited. Descriptions of sexual acts that go into vivid detail may also be removed.

NO NUDITY ACCORDING TO YOUR OWN DEFINITIONS:
We remove photographs of people displaying genitals or focusing in on fully exposed buttocks. We also restrict some images of female breasts if they include the nipple, but we always allow photos of women actively engaged in breastfeeding or showing breasts with post-mastectomy scarring. IN FACT- THIS COULD BE SHOWN ON LATE NIGHT CABLE OR BROADCAT TV- AFTER 11 PM.

WHAT YOU PEOPLE NEED TO DO IS CREATE A SETTING ON EVERYONES FACEBOOK PAGE WHERE FACEBOOK PAGES CAN BE SET FOR AGE RESTRICTIONS-  SUCH AS OVER 18; OVER 21; ALL AGES; AND SO ON.
- MUCH LIKE THE MOTION PICTURE INDUSTRY DOES-
G; PG;R;X; NOT RATED
SO AS TO LIMIT THE CONTENT BY THE POSTER ACCOUNT HOLDER-
TO  VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED.

THANK YOU FOR YOU RE TIME
AND  CONSIDERATION.
I BELIEVE MY RIGHTS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED AND THAT I HAVE NOT VIOLATED THE SEXUAL CONTENT RULES; RESTRICTING NUDITY- ( I WORKED IN STRIP CLUBS SO I KNOW THE LAWS)
AND  RESTRICTED IMAGES; ETC.
i INSERTED DISCLAIMERS- ABOUT EDUCATIONAL; SATIRICAL OR HUMOROUS PURPOSES-
THIS IS SEX EDUCATION; SEX TOY EDUCATION; AND INFORMATION; AND PURELY HUMOROUS ENTERTAINMENT.
IF IT WAS PHOTOS OF SOMEONES PET LABRADOR OR POODLE DOING THE SAME THING- IT WOULD BE A HUMOROUS VIRAL VIDEO.

I DO WISH TO DISCUSS THIS FURTHER IN SOME SORT OF DIALOGUE.
SO I AM NOT THREATENED WITH CANCELLATION OF MY ACCOUNT FOR SOME ACCIDENTAL RULE VIOLATION.
AGAIN- PLEASE CONSIDER THE  ABILITY OF AN ACCOUNT HOLDER TO SET THEIR ACCOUNT TO SOME SORT OF "COMMUNITY STANDARDS"- WHERE AGE CAN BE SELF RESTRICTED- AND SO CONTENT FOR THOSE  AGED PERSONS IS NOT AT ISSUE.
JUST LIKE TELEVISION BROADCAST; AND CABLE TV; AND THE MOTION PICTURE INDUSTRY.
I SET CAP LOCK AS ITS EASIER FOR OLDER FOLKS LIKE ME TO READ WITHOUT SQUINTING.
HAVE A NICE DAY.
DAVID
