udrey Miller-Queckboerner So if there was a special election, what would it look like? Would the Republicans replace Buskirk with another candidate and there be 6 candidates total? Or would it basically be the same candidates minus Roy equating that one of the three Democrats would automatically win? How does that work?
Gina Burgess Audrey -- That is a really good question and I think I have the answer, buuuuut…..I really want to see what the Allen County Election Board decides to do in this matter, preferring to see how it plays out without further involvement from me. Will the ACEB render a decision? If so, what will that decision be? How will ACDP react? How will ACGOP react?

Also, all five surviving candidates have the right to Contest this race, regardless of what their political parties do---will they? Pay special attention to David Roach. He filed a Contestation last year when he ran for Mayor on the Democratic ticket. Supposedly, he was running a “serious” campaign in 2015, but some people believed his true role was damage control. To call certain aspects of Tom Henry’s candidacy into question so as to prevent others from asking the same or similar questions, then failing to provide support at the original ACEB hearing on the matter as to get the ACEB to reject any such claims, and then fail to properly represent himself in Court so as to get the matter tossed out while preventing anyone else from bringing forth such matters. Will he fight for a spot on County Council or will he just sit back.

And then what about Palermo Galindo---the Dems front runner. What will he do? Rumor has it that he is raising money, but his campaign finance reports show that he has enough left over in his account to get things started. So why is he raising money? And what will he do with money raised that is in excess of his supposed litigation expenses?

Also, I believe in certain principles. First, the purpose of a leader is to create more leaders, not more followers. Second, I believe that if you give a person a fish that you feed them for a day, but if you give a person a fish AND teach them to fish—you’ve stabilized their position and given them the means to provide for themselves in the future.

Having said all of the above, I am not going to answer your question. I have too much respect for you to enable you. I’d much rather empower you (and others reading this post). I’ve already given you the “fish” (the above post entitled, “2016 ALLEN COUNTY COUNCIL AT-LARGE ELECTION CONTESTATION HEATS UP – A TIMELINE OF EVENTS”) [1]

In terms of the “teaching,” below are some of the resources available to you that should be able to help answer your question. (And to anyone reading this thinking “Just answer the question, I don’t have time to read all the data and research the answer for myself” – Folks, we ALL have the exact same amount of time. 24 hours each day. 168 hours per week. So when someone says they don’t have time for something, it means either the subject matter is not really a priority to them or that person simply lacks time management skills.)
